The history of OZIMKOV industries began long before its official founding date — June 30, 2020. Its roots trace back to the 1990s, when Vladimir Ozimkov built his first wooden sailing yacht. It wasn’t just a vessel — it was the first step toward a family tradition and a passion that would eventually grow into a serious business.
In the early 2000s, Vladimir and his son Sergei Ozimkov sailed together on inflatable catamarans of their own design. Later, they began participating in local regattas on Lake Onega, competing aboard their Opti-71 yacht. These were years of experimentation, learning, and hands-on experience in the sailing world.
In 2014, the family took another significant step: Sergei began delivering sailing yachts from Sweden to Russia. This hands-on work provided invaluable technical knowledge and a deep understanding of yachtsmen’s real-world needs — the foundation of the company’s future specialization.
By 2020, the decision was made to focus exclusively on the servicing of sailing yachts, which led to the launch of OZIMKOV industries’ mobile yacht service. That December, an Albin Vega 27 yacht was delivered from Sweden and underwent a complete restoration, including a full overhaul of its VOLVO Penta MD6 diesel engine. This project became a symbol of how OZIMKOV industries works — with precision, dedication, and respect for tradition.
After five years of flawless service and countless positive reviews, the team reached a new milestone: the launch of its own line of sailing yachts and marine hardware, aimed at the international market. This next step was the natural result of years of careful planning. Sergei’s move to Saint Petersburg marked the beginning of full-scale production preparation — with operations set to launch in July 2025.
The company’s philosophy is clear and powerful: yachting should not be a luxury — it should be accessible to everyone. That mission drives OZIMKOV industries to create reliable, functional solutions at a fair price.
In keeping with modern trends, the company is also embracing advanced technology. It has launched its own token, $OZINC, which will serve as part of OZIMKOV's internal economy, a tool for international transactions, and a new way for supporters to invest in the brand’s future.
In addition to yacht manufacturing, the company is developing a proprietary tracking system that operates independently of GPS or cellular networks. A marine emergency response system, powered by unmanned aerial vehicles and remotely operated from a monitoring center, is also set to launch in test mode on Lake Onega in 2025.
As OZIMKOV industries moves into the global arena, the company has initiated a full relaunch of ozimkovinc.com and is restructuring from a sole proprietorship to an open joint-stock company.
Today, OZIMKOV industries is no longer just a family project — it’s a fully-fledged company with bold but realistic plans, grounded in years of hands-on work, deep industry knowledge, and unwavering commitment.
